MY PASSION

I discovered my passion late in life. I'm not even sure, at this point, how I discovered quilting. But here I am. Quilting has taken over two rooms in my house. What used to be a painting/doll making/ceramics room, has now become a sewing room. I had to buy new book shelves for the fabric. My husband made a special table to sew on. I bought a new sewing machine and serger because my old one was just that, OLD, and occasionally skipped stitches. When I found out it couldn't be fixed, it was a good time to buy a new one. Then when that room was filled with machines, fabric, thread, thread holders, an outrageous number of books, mostly purchased at garage sales and online, I started filling up the spare bedroom. After all, I had to have room for the three, count'em three, quilt frames. Then I started buying muslin and batting by the bolt using ½ off coupons at the fabric store, so that required the rest of the spare bedroom for storage. That meant I had to buy blow up mattresses for the living room for when the grandkids came to visit. But, not to worry, they may be sleeping on the floor but they have wonderful quilts to snuggle under.

Later I hope to add pictures of my completed quilts and what I'm working on now. It's just a shame I waited so long to get started. I have so many quilts floating around in my head, there just isn't enough time to make them all.

Here are some of my favorite quilting links. Hope you can find something you like.
