Why:  'Cuz it's fun...because we rarely get together outside of the show and annual meeting

Natural Hoof Care Seminar and Clinic
with reknowned farrier, Lyle "Bergy" Bergeleen

Topics to be covered are:  What a natural hoof is; how and why a natural hoof is so important; what to look for in a healthy hoof; how to talk to your farrier intelligently, etc.

"Bergy" is the president of Hooftalk, Inc. and a graduate of Montana State University of Professional Horseshoeing.  He has worked with nearly every breed of horse.  His success in maximizing horse's avility and minimzing their chances of lameness has made him one of the most respected horseshoers in the western United States.

During the clinic you will have "hands on" instruction from Bergy himself to teach you how your horses feet should be trimmed.

The seminar on Friday, April 16 is from 6:30 - 10:30 pm at Balcom's East Ridge Farm in Long Prairie.  Cost is $25.  The seminar is mandatory for clinic participation.

The clinic is April 17 and 18 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm at Wong's Gaitway Paso Fino Farm.  Cost is $180 (includes seminar and lunches).

Space is limited to 20.

You will need to bring a horse with a negative Coggins test and updated vaccinations.  Overnight boarding is $10 per night.  Call for availability.

Also needed is a hoof knife, nippers, rasp and a hoof stand if you have them.  These tools will be available for purchase at the clinic.

Paso Fino Clinic and Fun Show
FIRST TIME IN NORTH DAKOTA!!
Clinic - Friday, June 25 and Fun Show Saturday, June 26
 
Dave Hyatt from LaVerkin, Utah will hold a clinic introducing training, agility and consistency in gait and getting the most from your horse at 1pm Friday.  Dave has 25 years of experience in breeding, training and showing Paso Fino horses.  The participation is limited to 25, but there can be an unlimited number of auditors.

The Fun Show on Saturday starts at 9am with classes in schooling, fino, pleasure, performance, western pleasure, costume, trail, wine glass and bareback.

Clinic cost:  $30 for participants, $10 for auditors.  Fun show is $30 with lunch provided.  Dinner $10.  It will be held at Breezy Manor in Fargo, which has a large indoor arena, 10 miles of riding along diversion, and room for overnight boarders with turnout.
