My Pets are a real pain in the ***!

A 31/2 year old Shepherd-Spitz mix. Loves to play "ball". Perfect guard dog from behind a closed door. Eats shoes, q-tips, shells, underwear and toilet paper. Why? We got her for the kids, but she loves my husband the best. This dog is a medium sized dog that thinks it is a kid and will try to sit in your lap if you're not paying attention or even get into bed with you. Hubby spoils her, I punish her for doing bad things and she really believes me. Couldn't get rid of her if I wanted to. She can be very annoying though. What can I do to get her away from bad habits?

Update: BB is lonely, she is looking for a playmate...preferrably Male, anyone in the Madison County Area of Indiana, please email me with a description of a dog you know needs a good home!!

Update: BB is not as lonely, she has a son for a playmate now.  But she is still very annoying!!


Update: Forget about a playmate for BB, she is not lonely, she doesn't have any pups to care for, and she doesn't even want to be bothered.  The darn animal just exhibited a new quirk, she hides under my desk during thunderstorms if I let her!!!  She is also driving me crazy with the mail person every day.  I always know that the mail has come because she tries to get through the screen.  Now I don't know what her problem is because she could care less who else comes up on my porch, but the mail person she wants bad!!!
