I'm trying to trace my father's family (Anglin) from Illinois back to Ireland. Info is skimpy. A granduncle, Ben Anglin, came from Kentucky - whose father was Richard Anglin. Where Richard Anglin came from is the big unknown. Just starting this genealogy thing so, basically, I'm just stumbling along.

Your info on early Almond/Almand and Ussery was helpful. I am trying to unravel the early Almonds out of old Orange Co. NC - they spread into Anson/Montgomery/Richmond Co. Most of my branch out of Stanly (originally Anson) Co. I will drop an email with
