R A B A S S A

Rabassa is the word in Catalan language that designates the thickest part in a tree (or bush), of where they leave the roots.

Rabassa (o Rabasa o Ravasa or ...) as last name is extended all over the world, although it is supposed that most of its branches come -more or fewer generations before - of Catalunya, Balearic islands, Valencia, Andorra, east of Aragon, west of Italy or south of France.
