The Heritage Quilt Guild is made up of quilters in Jonesboro, LA and the neighboring area. Early in 1992 a meeting was held at the Jackson Parish Library to form a quilting group. The guild was formed to provide means for quilters and quilt lovers to promote the preservation of quilts. The guild is a forum in which skills of quilting are shared so that the art will be handed down to others. The guild seeks excellence in quilting to add to the history of fine needlework for those who follow.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 A. M. at the Jackson Parish Library in Jonesboro, LA. The meeting includes the business portion, the program and show-and-tell.
