THE 911 RESPONDER

The 911 Responder is dedicated to all the men and women who service their community,

either paid or volunteer.This newsletter is to recognize those who so un-selfishly give of

their time and talents to help others.This newsletter accepts any articles or recognitions that

readers of this newsletter feel would be appropriate to post.Any articles or suggestions

should be E-Mailed to The Responder


For the first issue of the Responder,let me introduce myself to you.I am the 911 Director

for Lenoir County Central Communications in Kinston, North Carolina. Our 911 Center services

a population of 60,000+ Citizens.We service 23 different agencies in a multi-jurisdictional

area.In 1996 our Center processed over 60,000 dispatches.I have a staff of 16 Telecommunicators,

who are very dedicated to the 911 profession and do their job with great labor for the benefit

of the citizens who which they serve.They do not receive the recognition or salary they so much

deserve,so I hope to highlight them here on the responder as time goes on.I encourage all

that read this to do the same with their telecommunicators.I have an Operations Manager on my

administrative staff.Without her hard work and dedication,my job as Director would be much

more difficult.And for that.....I thank her.As time goes on,I will highlight my staff and the

events that occur around the USA that I feel would be of interest of the readers who come here.

Again,this Newsletter is dedicated to all emergency services personnel across the country,

so please feel free to E-Mail anything of interest you would like to see here.
