Here is a list of sites that will help you to make your own page or even your on Web Site. I used FrontPage 97 and Family Gathering genealogy software when creating this site. It is not necessary though to spend a lot of money on HTML editing programs if you only want to create a site with a few pages. You might find it easier just to use a word processing program like plain old notepad to make your pages with HTML tags. Here are a few sites that can help you.

Virtual University offers many classes in various subjects. They are free and offer you a chance to discuss similar interests with like-minded people. I have taken classes in online Genealogy and in Genealogy Web Site Design. There are no grades, no pressure and it really is fun!
