  • Rumor has it we have another CH/MH!! Pluis Davern's "Paddy" completed his MH on February 25, making him the 24th AKC CH/MH Labrador.
  • Desi (SR Ms T's Desert Wind of Char-Don WC (17 months) out of Toadd (HPL's 1999 Dog of the Year) finished her NAHRA Started Retriever title on February 24 and earned an extra leg on Sunday. A couple of other Toadd-kids also passes the tests - congratulations Terry McFadden!
  • Tamuff's Autumn Adventure CDX, JH, TD earned her TD on February 25 at her first test after certifying on January 31. Now it's into the utility ring in March on her quest for her UD. She is proudly handled, trained, bred and adored by Gail Rosson. Congratulations Gail!
  • Peggi Bean's Jessie (Saddlehill's L.R. Jessie MAD GM JM RM AX MXJ MBAD EAC EGC EJC GS-E RS-O JS-N CGC) (!!) earned her MXJ(AKC) Dec. 31st. Congratulations Peggi!
  • Linda Witkowski and her boys continue their winning ways. 9 year old Riser won the Veterans Obedience class with a 197. And Trouper got 3 bumper legs in Utility A Feb 24/25 with two firsts and a second. Congratulations Linda!
  • We missed a dog "titled at both ends" in 2000. His call name is Hudson, D.O.B. April 13/99. He aquired his CD title in August 2000, in three out of four trials with two High in Class. While waiting for his certificate he entered two more trials only to get two H.I.T.'s with a 195 and 197. In September 2000, he was put up over two specials to go on to get a Group 2nd ( the Group 1st got a BIS )! Congratulations to Imelda and Tony Moores and CH Shadybrook's Superior Chocolate CD!
  • Jack completed his open jumpers title on February 11. This will probably be his last AKC agility title since he'll be 11 in April. Congratulations to Maureen Kelly and UCDX UACH Jack Kelly CDX OA OAJ CGC WC!
  • Now here is a really incredible BRAG! Sammantha will be 18! on June 1.... Other than living forever her accomplishments include housebreaking an English Setter and training Julie's Husband to pick up his clothes off the floor. WOW! Congratulations Julie Mills!!!
  • Candlewood's Abigail of Oasis (CH. Franklin's Pickpocket for Kerrybrook MH ex Candlewood's Candy Kisses), owned by Molly Bogan, won a 4-point major under Judge Mrs. Denny Kodner. Abbey is 22 mos. old and has 13 pts. and only needs another major to finish her CH. She is already looking good in the field too! - congratulations Molly!
  • WATERSPOOK KICKIN' GOOD TIME, MH earned his MH on February 18. Congratulations to owner/handler: Karen M Waltman! And on February 17, WATERSPOOK TOMFOOLERY,JH (Tommie) earned her JH title in 4/4 tests, owned/trained/bred by Karen Waltman - congratulations!
  • Titled at both ends many times over, Jake earned his UD on February 16 and is now Am/Int Ch Mytym Jacobs Field UD, JH, OA, OAJ, CGC, WC, TT - congratulations Carolyn Johnson!
  • Sandledges Chase A Red Sky JH, WC (Chase) finished her JH title in style on February 10 & 11. She has 2 passes on the SHR (UKC) title & will be trying for those last two wings in March. Chase is owner handled & trained & now she can enter the Hunting Retriever class at the Potomac & the Open Black, in the same excellent working condition - congratulations Shannon Carlton!
  • Angela McGraw, an artist in Baton Rouge, LA, has used Emma, Castlegar Emma of TopFuel CD CGC, as a model for her painting of a Black Labrador. Now, everyone who orders a print of her Black Lab portrait will be hanging Kathryn Hertzberger's Emma on their wall! Way to go Kathryn!   •  Emma was entered in Novice B on February 4 at the Piedmont specialty and, not only did Emma qualify, she got 1st place with a 189 and High Scoring Chocolate! That is a day Marion will always remember, and still finds it hard to believe! She has worked really hard and it's paid off, and no barking on the stays! - Congratulations Marion Buraczynski!
  • Toby (aka Can Ch. Piccaninnies Spirit Dance Can CD, Can WC, Can JH) can now add an American CD to his list of titles - this was achieved with three out of five qualifying scores and three placements and no score less than a 189! Andrea is so proud! - and well she should be! Congratulations Andrea Blacker!
  • 1999 Dog-of-the-Year, Toadd (Ch Chelons Sadona Harbor Lights x Am Can Ch Woodstok BoMar Mirror Image), racked up another Best-of-Breed win on Feb 3 - congratulations Terry McFadden!
  • Int. Ch. Winroc Gyrocompass, TD, SH, OA, OAJ became a second generation AX on February 4. Gyro (Am/Can Ch. Nipntuck Arncha Bold, JH, CD x Winroc X-quisite Kala, CDX, JH, TD, AX, AXJ) is bred, owned, trained and handled by Lee Foote. Her cousin, Int. Ch. Winroc XLT Funnel Cloud, TDX, SH, MX, MXJ (Am/Can/Mex/Intl Ch. Campbelcroft Peppermint Paddy, SH, CDX, CanCD x Am/Can CD X Winroc XLT Onyx Injun, MH) earned another 2Q and ten MACH pts! Twister is co-owned by Lee Foote and Mrs. A. L. Foote - congratulations Lee!
  • On February 3, UCD Muskets Quest for the Summit CDX,AX,OAJ,Can CD,TDI (Cuyler) finished his Open Jumpers title but Dee was more excited about her other lab who has been stressing badly in all types of shows. He got his first Open Jumpers leg and she was so proud of him! (He is UCDX Hillsides Masterpiece Quincy CDX,OA,NAJ,Can CDX,WC,TDI) - congratulations Deirdre Crofton!
