The European Dog Show will be held on the 24th, 25th, 26th of April 1998 in Genoa. If you are planning to come, check the page "Are you planning a holiday in Italy" to find many useful info about your travel and your accommodation.
Chinese crested dogs will be judged by Ester Aquilani.

Daily programme:
All days at 8:00 the show area opens, the dogs arrive, veterinary control.
All days at 10:00 - 15:30 judgments in the rings.
10:00 - 14:30 junior handling, agility, obedience, entertainment.

Ring of Honour:
9:30 opening ceremony (friday only)
16:00 - 18:30

Group division:
Friday 24 April 98
group 3 (terriers) - group 5 (spitz and primitive types) - group 8 (retrivers, flushing dogs, water dogs) - group 10 (sighthounds)
Saturday 25 April 98 group 2 (pinscher and schnauzer type, molossians and swiss mountain, cattledogs) - group 4 (dachshunds) - group 6 (scent hounds)
Sunday 26 April 98 group 1 (sheepdogs and cattledogs) - group 7 (pointing dogs) - group 9 (companions and toys)

Entry classes:
Champion class
Compulsory for Italian Beauty Champions, optional for International and Foreign Champions. Dogs entered in this class compete for the CACIB.
Open class Minumum age 15 months. Dogs in this class compete for the CAC and CACIB (except dogs submitted to a working trial).
Working class Minimum age 15 months and only for dogs entitled to be entered in this class according to the regulation. In this class dogs that are submitted to a working trial can compete for the CAC and CACIB.
Junior class 9-18 months. These dogs do not compete for the CAC and CACIB.
Puppy class 6-9 months. These dogs do not compete for the CAC and CACIB.
Veteran class Dogs over 7 years. These dogs do not compete for the CAC and CACIB.
Couple class Two dogs, male and female, same breed and variety, belonging to the same owner or directly entered by the breeder.
Group class At least three dogs, males and females, of the same breed and variety, "bona fide" belonging to the same owner or directly entered by the breeder.
Breeding class At least three dogs, males and females, of the same breed and variety, bred by the same breeder who will enter the dogs the same day of the Show at the Secretariat by h. 12:00.
Out of competition Dogs in this class can only compete for the breeding group. Yhey will not receive a judgement.

Agility - Obedience:
- Competitions national and international of Agility
- Competitions international of Obedience

Limitations:
Only dogs and bitches registered in a studbook of a FCI member Country or of a Country which is not affiliated but whose studbook is recognized by FCI shall have the admission to take part in the Show.
Enrolments are allowed in only one individual class. Couple and Group are not considered classes. In order to compete for the CAC, foreign and international champions have to be entered in Open Class or in Working Class if submitted to a working trial.

Veterinary rules:
There is no quarantine rules in Italy for dogs arriving from abroad. On arrival in Italy, a rabies vaccination certificate is required. The vaccination must have been performed maximum one year before entry.
