Here are some hairless pets: an american hairless terrier, a peruvian dog, a xoloitzcuintle, an argentinian perro pila, two sphinx, an hairless rat. There are many others! To know more about them, click on the pictures.

We can find hairless breeds in Asia, Africa, Latin America. A very famous one is the Xoloitzcuintle, breeded expecially in Mexico. It has an ancient origin, probably different form all the other similar breeds, that are said to arise from an only ancient breed from Central Africa. These dogs were later exported in several countries, where they take their name from.

We can classify hairless dogs in three main categories:

• African hairless dog (Little Sighthound from Africa, Dog of Nubia, Dog from Egypt, Turkish Dog): completely hairless;
• Chinese hairless dog: smaller size, silky hair on head, tail, paws;
• Mexican hairless dog, or from Antille: bronze colored, elephant grey, dark grey or grey with pink/brown spots, sparse tassel on head and tail, or completely hairless.
