We spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary at Club Land'or on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. You can check out their website Club Land'or The pictures of the rooms are very acturate. I believe that the villa we stayed in might have been where the pictures were taken. We had a villa on the bottom floor facing the Atlantis. We saw the yachts coming in and out all the time.

We arrived late Friday afternoon after a two hour delay in Miami. We missed the Manager's Welcome Party but had an excellent dinner at the Blue Lagoon Resturant. Then we spent the rest of the evening unpacking and then going to the poolside bar. We spent a lot of time there during our week and got to know Al, Tony, Julian, and Phillip very well. They couldn't have been more attentive when we ordered something from the poolside snackbar.

Saturday was our first adventure. We went to Stingray City on Blue Lagoon Island. We took advantage of the all inclusive which included snorkel gear, lunch, 2 rum punches, and all non-motorized water equipment (kyak, paddle boats, raft, etc).

On Sunday we took the City & Country Tour which includes going to the Adastra Gardens & Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Fort Charlotte, Water Tower. When returned to the resort from the tour we had lunch by the poolside and then attended the BBQ Luau. We saw a great Limbo show. Then everybody got up and danced the macarena, electric slid, bunny hop, etc.

Monday was the day we scheduled a day of sailing. Our day started at 10 with coffee and donuts as we sailed away from Nassau. We sailed for 3 hours all the while just laying back and listening to Beach Boys...it seems Captain Randy is a big fan. We then anchored and went snorkeling. While we snorkeled Captain Randy bar-b-qued the best chicken we had ever tasted. We then started our 3 hour sailboat ride back. During the entire time we were offered rum punch and snacks. It was a wonderful relaxing day. We highly recommend this trip. Afer dinner, we went back to the Atlantis and walked around the aquirium and the dig. Then strolled around the grounds.

Tuesday Club Land'or arranged a day at Rose Island. It was a very full day that starts at 10 am and lasts till almost sundown. It was like a fantasy. The boat ride through the Sea Gardens and then landing on Rose Island the white sandy beach. The run punches, Bahama Mamas, Pina Colado, Yellow Bird started pouring on the boat and continued all day. The food was great and all you could eat. You can swim, snorkel, explore the island, stroll the beach and search for sea shells, lay in a hammock or just relax. There was also do several games.

On Wednesday we decided to just take it easy. We spent the afternoon just walking around Paradise Island. We went to Hurrican Hole Shopping Center and the Cultural Center right there on Paradise Island. Then had a Fish Fry Luncheon at the resort. Then that night went on the Night Club Tour. We had our choice of a meal from a special menu. Then it was off in a limo to the Crystal Palace Casino for some gambling and a Las Vegas type show girl show. We received our choice of two drinks during the show. After the show we had some time for some more gambling.

Thursday was our last full day in the Bahamas so we decided to take took the ferry from Paradise Island to Nassua. We walked around downtown and did more shopping.
