About Us
Akitas have been the love of our lives for many years. We have presently bred over 60 champions, and finished many more from other Kennels. We have also bred several ROM animals from our original foundation stock.
Although we are very interested in show competition, many of our dogs are placed in family situations with small children and become cherished members and guardians. We are very proud of the temperaments and thinking ability of our Akitas, as well as their structural soundness.
Gracie and Zara
We saved back some excellent show prospects from a breeding we did last fall between K. Oka Zara Otoko (picture) x Ch Apogee's Amazing Grace of K. Oka, ROM.
Gracie, who achieved her ROM with one litter, is a gorgeous, 26" bitch that passes on her size, wonderful temperament, type, and gentle nature to her offspring. Gracie is OFA good and eye Cerf'd.
Zara, sire of the puppies, is a full 28", self-mask, red male that we have high hopes for this summer. After a rough bout with Parvo last summer, his show career has benn on hold. At 2 1/2 years of age, weighing in at 110 pounds, his gangly teenage body is finally starting to mature! Zara, prelimed excellent and eye Cerf'd.
We have high hopes for the puppies from this breeding. These colorful, brindle girls have become everything that we had hoped for in the way of soundness, type, flash, and love-ability! They will, of course, be guaranteed.

In the picture, the girls were photographed after nearly a week of rain!!! Even though they all appear to be the same color, Glory and Zsa are actually red brindles, while Fallen and LA are black brindles.
Sonny
We have been showing a young male, Rysher's Crimson Tide (Sonny), a litter brother to Zara, and he needs only two singles to finish his championship. Sonny is co-owned by Nancy Dennis in Port Charlotte, Florida. As soon as he is finished, he will be sold.
He has been prelimed excellent and his eyes have been cleared of PRA. Sonny has a super sweet disposition and is an excellent mover. Nancy Dennis has a beautiful litter of puppies out of him that have been placed in show homes. Sonny should make an excellent family or foundation dog. At the age of 2 1/2, he has lots of growing and maturing to do.
Displaced Dogs
Last, but not least, we have some dogs that have been displaced. According to our original agreements with the owners of these dogs, if for any reason they cannot keep them, they must come home to us. Some of these dogs are champions, have been OFA'd and eyes have been Cerf'd. They have been raised in the home and are housebroken and most love children. They have been well socialized, loved, and for various reasons, have lost their homes. All are "people" dogs and are looking for caring, family situations in which to live out their lives.
