I'm sorry I can not remember my Email address, but I just wanted to write and say that I wish I would have gotten on the web sooner, when my son was still in NICU. He is 5months old, and just broke 12 pounds!! He was born at 2 lbs. 8 oz.. I hope we are over the hump of all the reprimanding problems that come with preterm birth. He has been re-admitted twice since discharge for pneumonia, Evan is now getting the RSV vaccine series for the winter. Thank You for the courage to share all your triumphs.

Although I'm crying just reading your story, I enjoyed it. I have and still am going through the same thing. I lost a baby last year from pre-eclampsia. We tried again and were blessed with a baby boy on September 18, 2000. He was 25 weeks, 1 lb. 1 oz , and 12 in. Today he is at 2 lbs. 10 oz. He is doing well. Tomorrow (11/17/00) he has another eye exam. I'm getting the impression that he will need the laser surgery. I haven't slept for weeks!!! They hope to have him home by Xmas. It's wonderful t hear Kyle is doing well. Continued good luck to all of you!!!!

I have a 25 week premature baby too. Born April 20, 1999. His name is Max. I was looking for information on feeding dificulties, Max has the haredst time eating solids (in fact he won't) he doesn't even really like his bottle all the time. Did you have any difficulty with this "preemie issue"? I'm at the end of my rope. I need to find some hope that he will eat and enjoy it someday, not to mention that he needs to gain weight. If you have any info I'd love to hear it. Mindy McGeary American Fork, Utah

I am at 25 weeks and having high blood pressure of the evening. Normal during morning time. I had a 8 month term baby 7 years ago due to pre-eclampsia that lead to severe HELLP syndrome. No-one knew what was happening. I would love to here what problems ou noticed you had. I am having severe headaches, loads of swelling, increaased blood pressure of evening, some severe cramping at various times, and lots of indigestion. We decieded to go to the same doc, but only seeing his nurse practioner. We are to h ve a sono in 3 more weeks.

Hi, My wife Tami and I just experienced just about the same thing I just read about your son. My heart goes out to you.We had a son Isaac born at 24 weeks gestation weighing 1lb.3.8 oz.He was 11 inches long.He must have been very close to the size of your little boy.He just came home on July 25,2000. We have enjoyed every minute of him being at home with us after having to go to the hospital for 89 days. Isaac is doing very well and is up to a little over 7 pounds now. We were very fortunate in him only ha ing to have laser surgery on both of his eyes for retinopathy. Both operations were very successful. I hope and pray that your son continues to do very well and I hope to hear from you over the net. Love and prayers, Chris,Tami, and Isaac. Linwood,NC

I just finished reading your website and I just want to say, your son is too cute!!! My son was also born at 25 weeks. Unlike you, the doctors dont know why I deliverd that early. My son was just 1lb 14.5 oz and he was 14 inches long. pretty big for his age but still small. He is now 14 months and is 25lbs. Big difference. I hope all is going well with your son and I look foward to hearing more! Take care!

I love Kyle's pages! I am very encouraged by your story, as I have had a 25 weeker born on Sept. 3, 1999. Don't they have a lot in common? Little Allison is only 9 weeks old now and still in NICU. Her due date was Dec. 13th, and we're really hoping th t she can come home then. Unfortunately, Mom has had to go back to work and doesn't like being away from the baby, so I read other preemie stories on the webring for encouragement. Thanks for a super page!

What a beautiful baby! You are all so lucky to have each other and to be a family. My friend gave birth to a little boy born 15 weeks early. She didn't know if she'd be able to find the strength to deal with the birth of a premature little one. There wer some very scary moments...but now her little boy, Nicholas Trent, is 9 months old, weighs 12 pounds and is doing wonderful. Congratulations on your beautiful baby! May you all have a long life together.

Your parents need to strap a computer on you early. Most kids today by the time they are seven (7) can perform system's integration and computer consulting on an advanced level. Hopefully, with help, your generation can decrease that to four or five? J st think, you can make more than mommy and daddy when your six or seven?
