First, I'll tell you a little about myself. I'm 34 years old and have been married to a terrific guy for 12 years. We have 4 children of our own who are 11, 10, 9, and 5 years old. They keep us very busy with dance school, hockey, swim lessons, etc., but we wouldn't have it any other way!
I started my career in child care after the birth of my second child. It's a job that can, at times, be very frustrating, but is overwhemingly rewarding!
I recently celebrated my tenth anniversary as a child care provider and decided to make some changes to keep things exciting and new for me. The first of these changes was to become accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC). This was a very challenging process, but one I'd highly recommend. You can get more information from NAFCC's web site listed below. The other big change I've made is I started taking classes for my CDA (child development associate). I am enjoying the classes and will finish in late June,1999. Now, get comfortable and check out my child care home!
