Why All Males?

You might have noticed that our club has only had male puppies so far, and be wondering why. Well the reason is because when female guide dog pups come into season they MUST be kenneled for the entire time. Because of the size of our community we do not have any guide dog approved kennels, so we have stuck with males. A new kennel has just opened in our town, so females may soon be able to be raised in our club. Guide Dogs For the Blind does not have a preferance for males or females. Both can be equally good at guide work.
