OUR BELOVED DAUGHTERS
TRACY & TONI
These are our two darling daughters.  Tracy was a Senior with 10 days left until graduation....Toni was in the sixth grade.  They were on their way to school on Thursday May 31, 1990.  They had dropped me off at my part time job, so Tracy could have the car to go to the dentist after school and get home for an awards banquet that night where she was to get a small scholarship towards membership for a small business college in the area.....She asked Toni to go with her because she didn't want to drive alone.  She was going to drop Toni off at the Middle school then go on over to the high school.....but after they dropped me off, just three blocks from the post office and only about five or six blocks from home, their car was hit by a train..  No one will ever know if they saw the train coming or not..  I just tell myself that they had the radio up and was 'jammin' and did not hear or see the train.....at least that makes me feel better to think that they did not see it coming.....there was no lights or anything at the track, just the crossbuck signs......but now, there are lights and crossing arms at the tracks.....
Please support Senate Resolution 109, making the second Sunday in December, National Children's Memorial Day.....insuring that our children are never forgotten....Ask your State Senators to co-sponsor this resolution to make this a permanent day of remembrance.
