John Irvin Ramsey

Updates
He has had to go to the Doctor
twice because of a cold, he just can't kick it (It doesn't help
that we've all had it too !!)
He has begun to giggle
out loud, laughing sometimes
He started acting like he
is grabbing for things during the Valentines' holiday weekend.
He makes distinct noises
for both Mommy and Daddy, though they are not "words"
as yet. He can, when he wants to, make a noise that sounds very much
like "Hi" when you first see him!!
John started Day Care
on January 19, 1999, seems to enjoy it
He is now two
weeks old, doing just fine. Mom is OK as well, she just
wishes she could get more sleep!!
We have now identified three
distinct cries, Feed Me, Change Me, and PlayWith Me
Since when we
brought him home on Thursday, he had filled up the Diaper Genie
by Monday evening !!!

Current Vital Statistics
Currently:
When we were at the Doctor's
office on March 6, he weighed 13 pounds 8 ounces
We weighed him on
our scales in the middle of February, estimated weight - near 12 pounds!
It seems as though the red
hair is for real !!
His eyes change daily from
Blue to Gray
to Green and all points in between
At the Second
Doctor Visit, he weighed 10 punds 8 ounces
During the First
Doctor Visit, he weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces
Weigh-in when
we left hospital - 6 pounds 0 ounces (Nurses said that was about
normal)
Still has the dark
blue eyes
At Birth:
Gestational age - 39.5
weeks
6 pounds 7 ounces
21" long
12" head
12" shoulders
red
(auburn) hair
dark
blue (almost grayish) eyes, very pretty
No birthmarks
Recent Visitors
John visited his Daddy's
office on February 1, 1999
We went to Marcie's office
on November 30th and visited for a while
Brian and Jennifer Coffee
stopped by for a while on Monday the 23rd
Gerrard, Darlene, and
Sarah all stopped by on Saturday the 23rd for a while
My Parents, John &
Ruby, came to visit us from Tuesday the 17th to Saturday
20th. Here's a Photo:
Marcie's Boss Kaye visited
on Wednesday 18th, here's a photo:
My Brother and Sister-in-law,
Johnnie Pat & Suzanne, visited us twice, once on Tuesday
and again on Thursday and Friday.
My Sister Joan and
her nurse pal Anita stopped by briefly on Tuesday, and says
she'll be back soon.

Jessica, Kenny and Sarah
I got another email from
her on January 18, 1999, and she said, "Sarah has started to
laugh out loud and do big girl smiles now! We fortunately have not
had any bouts of colick yet. The fussiest she has been was over New
Years when we went home and she got passed around like the prize pig at
the county fair for two days. She finally decided she had had enough
and the only people she let hold her were me and Kenny without screaming."
Sarah Elizabeth Hall was born
on December 3, 1998, healthy and a headfull of hair !!
I got an email from her
on Nov. 30th, she said the Dr.'s were thinking about inducing labor,
she's two weeks over!
I talked with Jessica
on Nov. 19th, she said everything was OK, just past due!!!!
Tammi, Scott and Rachael
I got an email from Tammi
on February 17, and she said, "Rachael has 4 teeth now. Two on
top and two on bottom. She can say dada, but I am working with her
on mama. (Not to be out done.) She isn't mobile yet but the
crawling will probably begin sooner than I want."

We attended Sarah's first birthday
on January 17, 1999. She is doing fine, and is just begining to try
to walk.
