AllenMary CARODINE states that the Deed of Gift she executed to her grandchildren, to wit: John Carodine, Isaack Carodine and Parker Carodine, all children of her son John Joe Caradine, was lost in october last, and she certifies she gave to the children Negroes Rody, 40 yrs, Moses, 18 yrs, Silva, about 12, Pete, 11 years old. In former deed she made her grandson Whitmill Carradine agent to act for children until age of 21, but she appoints their father John J. Carradine to thus act. Their former agent sold Moses for land to James Allen. Peter is to be sold to R. Lankston. proceeds of sale by her son are to be transferred to her grandchildren. Wit: R. Allen, Walter C. Smith, Joseph A. Smith, John Collins. (Executed in Jefferson Co., Mississippi Terr) (Witness Smith proved this Bill of Sale in Logan Co., KY).
