The Senior Instructor for the SLKS, Mark Rubbert, has practiced Aikido and Mind and Body Unification since 1980 and has taught regularly for over eleven years. He holds the ranks of Sandan (Third degree black belt) in Aikido and Shoden (fourth rank) in Mind and Body Unification (Ki Development) Mr. Rubbert is certified to teach by Ki Society International as an Assistant Ki Lecturer. He continues his studies under various teachers, especially Koichi Kashiwaya, Chief Instructor of the United States. Mr. Rubbert has attended classes with Koichi Tohei in the United States and Japan. Regular classes are taught by the Senior Instructor and other instructors under his direction and certification.

OBITURARIES

Delma Augusta Margaret Rubbert, 90, Perham, Minn. formerly Fargo, died Tuesday, July 22, 1997, in Perham Memorial Home. Delma Kaeding was born Oct. 26, 1906, in Kramer, N.D., where she grew up and attended school. She worked at Trinity Hospital, Minot, N.D., and later at the Kramer Post Office. On June 20, 1930, she married the Rev. Felix Rubbert in Kramer. They lived in Tolley, N.D., and in 1943 they moved to the Tyler, N.D., area. In 1954 they moved to Fargo. He died in 1990. She became a resident of the Perham Memorial Home in 1993. She is survived by a son, Armin, Dent, Minn.; a daughter, Margaret (Roger) Heglie, Chatham, N.J.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: Today from 4 to 9, with a prayer service at 8, in Shoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham. Funeral: Friday at 2 in Grace Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.


BETTY HELLRIEGEL RUBBERT, 77, of Fort Lee died Monday. Born in Germany, she came to the United States in 1938. She was a parishioner of Madonna R.C. Church, Fort Lee. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star No. 235. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.
