Keep fresh water available at all times!
Keep dog in the house, in cool room, with AC on, if possible!
Let dog go outside, only to relieve himself, then return inside immediately
to cool area!
Take it easy with obedience lessons. Train in cool places, for short times only! Better yet, skip a day in extreme heat!
Disregard housebreaking water schedule temporarily. Dog's welfare
comes first!

Leave dog outside in sun or shade for any length of time!
Take dog in car, or on any shopping trips!
Play ball with dog, go jogging, or take long walks!
Force dog to eat! Eating a little, or not at all, is normal on extremely hot
days!
REMEMBER YOUR DOG CAN NOT SWEAT TO COOL HIMSELF
AS YOU DO! THE HEAT IS HIS DEADLY ENEMY! ONLY YOU CAN
HELP HIM SURVIVE! |
