Date     Kjonaas     of
Georgetown       Dies
   Date K. Kjonaas    63,   George-
town,   Minn.,  farmer   died  Thurs-
day in a local hospital.
   Born   Nov. 23, 1899  at  Barton,
N.D.,  a  son  of  Mr. and Mrs. Ole
A.  Kjonaas,   he  attended  schools
at   Farwell    and      Park   Rapids,
Minn.   He married Regina Acklund
in   Albert Lea, Minn., June 1, 1921.
   They   lived  at    Albert  Lea  until
1923    when  they  moved  to  Park
Rapids     and     subsequently     to
Georgetown    in   1933.   He   had
farmed    near   Georgetown   since
that time.
   He   was  a   member  of    Christ
Lutheran   Church   at Georgetown,
a   former   school  board   member
and  for 21 years had been George-
town Township assessor.
    Besides  his  wife he leaves three
sons  and  two  daughter,   Dayton,
Thief   River  Falls,   Minn.;    Ray-
mond, Georgetown;  Ole Dean, 420
16th St. S., Moorhead;  Mrs. Eldon
(Malvina)  Thorson,   1102 18th St.
N.  Fargo,  and  Marilyn,  A  fresh-
man  at  Moorhead  State  College,
and 19 grandchildren.
    A  sister,  Mrs.  Hans   (Gladys)
Sorenson,  Detroit  Lakes,   Minn.
also  survives.   He was preceded
in death by two brothers.
    Arrangements  are  by  Wright
Funeral Home.
