Heart Prints

Whatever our hands touch We leave fingerprints! On walls, on furniture, On doorknobs, dishes, books, As we touch we leave our identity. Oh please where ever I go today, Help me leave heartprints! Heartprints of compassion Of understanding and love. Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern. May my heart touch a lonely neighbor Or a runaway daughter, Or an anxious mother, Or, perhaps, a dear friend! I shall go out today To leave heartprints, And if somone should say "I felt your touch," May that one sense be...YOUR LOVE Touching through ME. This is to all the wonderful people I have met online! Pass this rose on and let them know that you care about them!!! don't let the rose die!!! A Friend Is Always Special Because Friends Love you because You are You! I offer you my hand in friendship so that when you reach out in times of need, you can be certain that I'll always be there.

What a Hug can do

It's wondrous what a HUG can do. A HUG can cheer you when you're blue A HUG can say "I love you so" or "gee, I hate to see you go. A HUG is "welcome back again" and "great to see you" or "where have you been?" The HUG - there's just no doubt about it we scarcely could survive without it a HUG delights and warms and charms it must be why God gave us arms. HUGS are great for fathers and mothers sweet for sisters, swell for brothers and chances are some favorite aunts love them more than potted plants. Kittens crave them, puppies love them heads of state are not above them a HUG can break the language barrier and make the dullest day seem merrier. No need to fret about the store of 'em the more you give, the more there are of 'em so stretch those arms without delay and give someone a HUG today.

To Touch The Heart

To touch the heart of someone dear though it might sometimes cause a tear to fall or rest upon the cheek should be something all should seek. For often hearts not touched at all start hardening and shrinking small. And then the time it takes to grow A loving heart is very slow. For hearts expand as those who care extend their love and let us share a moment, space or special phrase that eases pain on dreary days. Or simply starts our lips to smile and brightens time for just a while. The ways and kinds and means of sharing it seems to me Are based on caring. And though we're often worlds apart. You still can touch my very heart. You make me smile or shed a tear. And I'll remember year to year Just how your 'touching helped me grow. And I just thought I'd
tell you so.

"Take Care of Your Friends" Friend is a word that I don't throw around Though it's used and abused, I still like the sound. I save it for people who've done right by me And I know I can count on, if ever need be. Some of my friends drive big limousines Own ranches and banks and visit with queens, And some of my friends are up to their neck In overdue notes and can't write a check. They're singers or ropers or writers of prose And others, God bless 'em, can't blow their own nose! I guess bein' friends don't have nothing' to do With talent or money or knowin' who's who. It's a comfortable feelin' when you don't have to care, 'Bout chosin' your words or bein' quite fair. 'Cause friends'll just listen and let go on by Those words you don't mean and not bat an eye. It makes a friend happy to see your success. They're proud of yer good side and forgive all the rest. And that ain't so easy, all of the time, Sometimes I get crazy and seem to go blind! Yer friend just might have to take you on home, Or remind you sometime, that you're not alone. Or ever so gently pull you back to the ground, When you think you can fly, with no one around. A hug or a shake, whichever seems right Is the high point of givin', I'll tell ya tonight, All worldly riches and tributes of men, Can't hold a candle to the worth of a friend.

Right now somebody is very proud of you. Somebody is thinking of you. Somebody is caring about you. Somebody misses you. Somebody wants to talk to you. Somebody wants to be with you. Somebody hopes you aren't in trouble. Somebody is thankful for the support you have provided. Somebody wants to hold your hand. Somebody hopes everything turns out all right. Somebody wants you to be happy. Somebody wants you to find him/her. Somebody is celebrating your successes. Somebody wants to give you a gift. Somebody thinks that you ARE a gift. Somebody hopes you're not too cold, or too hot. Somebody wants to hug you. Somebody loves you. Somebody admires your strength. Somebody is thinking of you and smiling. Somebody wants to be your shoulder to cry on. Somebody wants to go out with you and have a lot of fun. Somebody thinks the world of you. Somebody wants to protect you. Somebody would do anything for you. Somebody wants to be forgiven. Somebody is grateful for your forgiveness. Somebody wants to laugh with you. Somebody remembers you and wishes that you were there. Somebody is praising God for you. Somebody needs to know that your love is unconditional. Somebody values your advice. Somebody wants to tell you how much they care. Somebody wants to share their dreams with you. Somebody wants to hold you in their arms. Somebody wants YOU to hold them in your arms. Somebody treasures your spirit. Somebody wishes they could STOP time because of you. Somebody praises God for your friendship and love. Somebody can't wait to see you. Somebody loves you for who you are. Somebody loves the way you make them feel. Somebody wants to be with you. Somebody wants you to know they are there for you. Somebody's glad that you're his/her friend. Somebody wants to be your friend. Somebody stayed up all night thinking about you. Somebody is alive because of you. Somebody is wishing that you noticed him/her. Somebody wants to get to know you better. Somebody wants to be near you. Somebody misses your advice/guidance. Somebody has faith in you. Somebody trusts you.  Somebody needs you to send them this letter. Somebody needs your support. Somebody needs you to have faith in them. Somebody will cry when they read this. Somebody needs you to let them be your friend. Somebody hears a song that reminds them of you.

Smile

She smiled at a sorrowful stranger. The smile seemed to make him feel better. He remembered past kindnesses of a friend. And wrote him a thank you letter. The friend was so pleased with the thank you. That he left a large tip after lunch. The waitress, surprised by the size of the tip, Bet the whole thing on a hunch. The next day she picked up her winnings, And gave part to a man on the street. The man on the street was grateful;  For two days he'd had nothing to eat. After he finished his dinner, He left for his small dingy room. (He didn't know at that moment that he might be facing his doom.) On the way he picked up a shivering puppy and took him home to get warm. The puppy was very grateful to be in out of the storm. That night the house caught on fire. The puppy barked the alarm. He barked till he woke the whole household and saved everybody from harm. One of the boys that he rescued, Grew up to be President. All this because of a simple smile That hadn't cost a cent.

Around The Corner I Have A Friend

In this great city that has no end,  Yet the days go by and weeks rush on, and before I know it, a year is gone and I never see my old friends face, For life is a swift and terrible race,  He knows I like him just as well, As in the days when I rang his bell,  And he rang mine.  If, we were younger then, And now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game, Tired of trying to make a name.  "Tomorrow" I say "I will call on Jim"   "Just to show that I'm thinking of him." But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, And distance between us grows and grows. Around the corner!- yet miles away. "Here's a telegram sir-"  "Jim died today." And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend.

If you love someone, tell them. Remember always to say what you mean. Never be afraid to express yourself. Take this opportunity to tell someone what they mean to you.  Seize the day and have no regrets. Most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today and are what it's all about anyway. Pass this along to your friends. Let it make a difference in your day and theirs. The difference between expressing love and having regrets is that the regrets may stay around forever.  Why not send this to a few people that you care about but may not have to taken the time to communicate with lately? You will find new love or have an old love rekindled.   If you do not send it, you will have once again passed up the opportunity to do something loving and beautiful and continue the trend that gives you problems in your relationships.  If you've received this it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care. If you're too busy to take the few minutes that it would take right now to forward this to a few people, would it be the first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a   difference in your relationships?

This Is A Home Where Children Live

You may not find things all in place, Friend, when you enter here. But, we're a home where children live, We hold them very dear. And you may find small fingerprints, And smudges on the wall, When the kids are gone, we'll clean them up, Right now we're playing ball. For there's one thing of which we're sure, These children are on loan. One day they're always underfoot, Next thing you know, they're gone. That's when we'll have a well kept house, When they're off on their own. Right now, this is where children live, A loved and lived in home.

As I Grow

As I grow Please..... Understand that I am growing up and changing very fast. It must be difficult to keep pace with me but please try. Listen to me and give me brief, clear answers to my questions. Then I will keep sharing my thoughts and feelings. Reward me for telling the truth. Then I am not frightened into lying. Tell me when you make mistakes and what you've learned from them. Then I can accept that I am OK even when I blunder. Pay attention to me and spend time with me. Then I can believe that I am important and worthwhile. Do the things you want me to do. Then I have a good, positive model. Trust and respect me. Even though I am smaller then you, I have feelings and needs just like you. Compliment and appreciate me. Then I'll feel good and continue to please you. Help me explore my unique interests, talents and potential. In order for me to be happy, I need to be me and not you or someone you want me to be. Be an individual and create your own happiness. Then you can teach me the same and I can live a happy, successful and fulfilling life. Thank you for hearing me, I love you!!

Jelly Bean Prayer

Red is for the blood He gave, Green is for the grass He made. Yellow is for His sun so bright, Orange is for the edge of night. Black is for the sins we made, White is for the Grace He gave. Purple is for His hours of sorrow, Pink is for our new Tomorrow. A bag full of jelly-beans colorful and sweet, Is a prayer, is a promise, Is a small child' s treat.
