Plan of Salvation
A. Romans Road
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (NAS)
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NAS)
Genesis 2:17
but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die." (NAS)
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Cor 15:3-4
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (NAS)
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. (NAS)
Romans 10:13
for "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." (NAS)
B. The Gospel According to John
John 8:24
"I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He you shall die in your sins." (NAS)
John 3:15-18
15 that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. 18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (NAS)
John 6:37
"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. (NAS)
[Just a personal note, there is only one sin that is not forgivable and that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (with your mouth):
Matt 12:32
"And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come. (NAS)
And this is nothing that someone accidentally does, and doubt in your heart doesn't do it. And the reason for this is that first God sent Jesus and the people rejected him and now we have the Holy Spirit so if you reject It there will be nothing more sent, your chances would have run out (just a little note).
John 5:24
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (NAS)
John 1:10-12
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, (NAS)
[Receiving = Believing]
C. Jesus in the Scriptures
Jesus is a:
Sin Bearer, a Substitute
Isaiah 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. (NAS)
2 Corinthians 5:21
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (NAS)
1 Peter 2:24
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. (NAS)
Risen Savior and Intercessor
Hebrews 7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (KJV)
Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (NAS)
[I gave the King James version (KJV) this time too since he refers to that translation. The reason that I use New American Standard (NAS) is because that is what both of my parents read and it is really easy to read, in "now-a-days" language]
Jude 1:24
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, (NAS)
Lord
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; 10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. (NAS)
Romans 14:7-9
7 For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to this end Christ died and lived again that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. (NAS)
