What do I say?

I bend down to pray

but as I try to pray I wonder what to say.

What do I say to get my words across?

What do I say to get my voice heard?

I know you expect me to pray from my heart

but what do I say?

I am not much for words

when it comes to facing you.

I know you are my father

and I am your child

but it seems when I try to pray

My tears fall

and my words do escape me

I cry to you lost for words

so what do I say?

It seems I have lost my way...

along this path called life.

But when I pray to you

My mind suddenly eases

even though I am lost for words.

What do I say

to be heard?
