Here is a little more about the platform life. I work 7 days a week, which means I live on this platform from Monday to Monday, we work 12 hour shifts. We produce crude oil, as well as natural gas. We are actually one of the smaller platforms out there. Not the smallest, just one of the smaller ones. Unocal is the company that operates the platform. We are a little more unique platform in as that we have 5 legs,(the only one like that in the Cook Inlet) these are what hold up the platform, as well as hold all the piping that goes into the ground to pipe oil and gas. We do have many of the comforts of home, we have a cook on board, we have satelite tv, phones,excersize equipment (yes I know, by the looks of my photo I have not used it much, well that is right, I thought they were clothes hangers) I have to ride a helicopter to and from work, which at first was very strange, but It is like an old hat now.
