A Christmas play isn't all fun and games, or is it?  We'll let you be the judge on this one...
Below you'll find a collection of pictures; some are behind-the-scenes footage that you can't find anywhere else, while others are actual scenes from our play in which we've found something unique.  Enjoy!

Part of the long row of costumes.

"I'm tired.  I think I'll go home now."
Forrest Gump visits a practice (actually Terry Stewart - co-director and Balthazar - dressed in a wig and beard.)  The wig will later be used by Jennifer Davis - co-director and Mary.

Here is a backstage shot of the angels during the play (as taken by Terry Stewart). If you look closely, the angel in the back (Robert Sommers) is holding a cheat sheet.

Now, most of us see the Wisemen as serious, kingly people...which they are.  But, during the play, they were also funny.  Take a look at these pictures and see for yourself!

Just what is Gaspar (far right - Allen Tucker) trying to do here?

Now, let's count how many times they bow in the entire production...here are a few:

1.

2.

(Above):  Melchior (in back - played by Tom Cornette) bows to King Herod.

3.

Melchior and King Herod exchange bows.

4.

Balthazar (in front - played by Terry Stewart) bows to the king.  It appears that Gaspar is also bowing.

5.

Once again, Balthazar bows, as well as Joseph (played by Jared Tucker).

Melchior takes a huge bow.

A look at the Christmas play practices:

At top left, the angels wait to say their lines.  At right, the shepherds receive advice from one of the directors.

Jared Tucker (Joseph) discusses some last minute changes with Brian McElwain (Orator of the Gospels).

(top): Adam Pryor, Mark Vincent, and Robbie Baize practice the roles of saddened Roman soldiers.  (right): Mark Vincent cracks a smile as he searches the [empty] sanctuary for children.

Other Behind-the-scenes pictures:

Amanda Stewart quickly applies paint to the camels two days before the first performance.

Terry and Lisa Stewart assemble the palm trees.

Justin Pryor tries to warm himself by the oven. However, he has failed to realize he has been tricked by Terry Stewart, who constructed the oven.  The fire is not real; it is merely silver satin material in front of a fan, spotlighted by red and yellow lights.  It looks like Justin will be there awhile trying to warm up!
