"Dad,
you decorate the tree every year the way you did when mom was here," said
Judy. "It reminds me of the good times when
you were little and we went to church together. Go to church with me this
Christmas, Judy," said her dad.
"I love you dad, but sorry... won't happen, not now... not ever. I don't
believe any of that stuff anymore. Science has been my God since
I graduated from the University. Education makes a difference. You learn
about realities of the universe and scientific truths. God exist
in your own mind. When you die, your brain stops functioning, and your
God dies with you. Get real, Dad! Show me scientific proof of God's existence
and I'll believe."
"I know you feel that way Judy. It would be nice to be together, don't
you agree." "Not
at church dad," responded Judy. "Got to go now. Got to pick up Sandy and
then we are off to Wallmark to shop 'til we drop."
"Judy, before you go, answer one question. Do you
love me?" "Oh dad, you know I
love you," responds Judy!
"Judy, how do I know for sure? Can you give
me scientific proof your love for me exist," responded her dad?
"Later, Dad." |
