Maps and Directions

The invitations contained maps/directions on how to get to the church and
how to get to the reception, but if you need information on how to get to Northern New Jersey, the Sunday brunch, your hotel, etc.--this page should help.

Okay, first a map of the general layout of the area. Click here for a more detailed map we created in Mapquest.

Let's attack this chronologically...

To get to the Northern New Jersey area, there are several routes you can take:

You can take the NJ Turnpike to exit 16W (western spur), pay the toll and take Route 3 West about 1 mile or so. You'll see a sign for Route 17 North as soon as you go over a very small bridge. Follow the directions to the church.

You can take Route 80 to Route 17 (see map above).

You can take the Garden State Parkway (see map above) to Route 3 East. Stay on this for about 8 miles or so. You'll go over a bridge with metal grading, and that's when you know you've entered Rutherford. About 2 miles after the bridge, you'll see a sign for Route 17 North. Follow the directions to the church.

From the GW Bridge, you'd take Route 80 to Route 17 South, then follow the directions to the church.

From the Lincoln Tunnel, you'd take Route 3 East to Route 17 North, then follow the directions to the church.

From Pennsylvania, you can take the PA Turnpike to the NJ Turnpike. It spills you out at exit 6 on the NJTpke, which you'd take North to exit 16W (as mentioned above). OR, you can take Route 78 to the Garden State Parkway to Route 3 East (as mentioned above). OR, you can take Route 80 to Route 17 South. It all depends on what route is most convenient and nearest to your home.

From New York State, you can take the NY Thruway to the Garden State Parkway or to Route 17 South, either way.

Okay, so you made it up to the area...now how to get to the church (in case you lost your map card)...
From Route 17 North, take the exit for Paterson Plank Road (approx. 2-3 miles). Go up the ramp and make a left at the traffic light. Go to the next traffic light, and make a right onto Hackensack Street. St. Joseph’s will be on your right at the next light. Park next to the church or around the corner behind the church.

From Route 17 South, take the exit for Hoboken Road – Sports Complex (right before the Paterson Plank Rd. exit). You’ll see the Meadowlands Diner as your landmark. Go up the hill and the church will be on your left-hand side at the traffic light. You’ll see the entrance to the church parking lot just before it on your left, next to the friary.

The church is located on the corner of Hoboken Road and Hackensack Street. 120 Hoboken Road, East Rutherford, NJ.
Phone: 201-939-0457.

The ceremony was beautiful...now onto the reception:
From the church, make a right onto Hoboken Road and head back down the hill. Follow signs for Route 17 North, which will take you up and over the highway. Take Route 17N approx. 5 miles until you hit Route 80 West. Take Route 80W approx. 4 miles until the Garden State Parkway/Saddle Brook exit. Take the GSP North (have change for tolls) to exit 168. Turn right onto Washington Ave. When you come to a shopping district, go over railroad tracks and keep the Summit Bank on your right-hand side. Go through center of town until you come to the light at Kinderkamack Road and a statue where you’ll bear right onto Harrington Ave. Go about 1.5 miles and turn right at the light onto River Vale Road. The Florentine Gardens is on your right in 1/8 of a mile.

For a map and directions from other points of origin, click here. For door-to-door directions using Mapquest, click here. Florentine Gardens is located at 97 River Vale Road, River Vale, NJ. Phone: 201-666-0444.

You partied it up at the reception, now where do you retire for the evening? Presuming you didn't check into your hotel already, or you didn't take the shuttle bus, you'll want to find your way to an area hotel. Check out our Hotel Information page for information on reservations and links to interactive maps we've created for just this purpose!

Well-rested (or hung over) after your night of partying, you may want to stop by for Sunday Brunch to say good-bye to the bride and groom, grab some more great food (it's free! why not?), maybe even go for a dip in the pool or hot tub before heading home. So how do you get there?
Route 80 West to Route 23 North...
Route 3 West to Route 46 West to Route 23 North...
Garden State Parkway to Route 80 West to Route 23 North...
Garden State Parkway to 3 West to 46 West to 23 North...
Route 17 South to Route 3 West to 46 West to 23 North...

then, once you're on 23 North, in about 4 miles or so, you'll come up a hill to a traffic light for a major intersection. You'll see a large shopping plaza on your right. When you come to this light, just be sure to be in your right lane. In about 1/2 mile, you'll want to take the service road to the right (you'll see a DMV and a Wendy's) so that you can access the Ratzer Road exit. (The Ratzer Road exit is just before a car dealership as Route 23 North bends slightly to the left, just to give you a visual reference.) Once you head up the ramp for the Ratzer Road exit (you'll see a Howard Johnson hotel), bear right onto Ratzer Road. Go about 1/4 mile and make the 2nd left onto Webster Drive, just as you approach a slight hill. Follow Webster around as it bends and make the 3rd right onto Wellington Drive. The first intersection you come to, you'll see the house on the corner of Drayton and Wellington. It's a white house with a brick driveway that slopes slightly downward. Head around back for the festivities!

The Brunch will be held at Richard and Debbie Janson's house (the bride's father and stepmom), 4 Drayton Place, Wayne, NJ.
