Levegood
and Levergood Family History and Genealogy The families that Barbara
Levergood, Alyn Levergood
have researched most extensively have their roots in what is now
Bas-Rhin, France (also known as Alsace) in the 1600s and
1700s. Johann Veit Liebenguth and his family probably
arrived in Philadelphia, America, on the Ship Halifax on 20
October 1754. They were in Berks County, Pennsylvania soon after
their arrival in America and lived in Penn Township,
Northumberland County (now Snyder County), Pennsylvania at least
by 1773. Johann Veit's descendants researched lived in
Williamsport, Lycoming County by 1803; and Liberty, Tioga County
from 1815 or 1816 until the late 1800s when many moved back to
Lycoming County. |
