HERNDON PAGE
Richard J. HERNDON, certified FL pioneer, was born about 1785 in SC and died on Feb 11, 1852 in Hamilton Co., FL. I believe that he is the son of William Herndon, b. 1743, Caroline Co., SC d. aft 1785, Abbeville Dist, SC and Elender ?????

It is possible that William is the son of Phillip Herndon, b. 1715 in King & Queen Co., VA d. 1760 according to the 1983 Chickypin Vol 3, No 3, printed by Echol Co., GA Class 1977/78. I have not confirmed this information at this time.

Richard married Pinky PADGETT, daughter of Hopkin Padgett and Mary Branch, on July 8, 1819 in Colleton Co., SC. Pinky was born about 1803 and died in 1875.
