| There was a RICHARD MASTERS in
Mason Co, KY as bondsman for a number of marriages for MASTERS brides and
groom maybe as early as 1790's and into early 1800's. Have seen his name
while researching our 4G grandmother, MALINDA MASTERS who married GEORGE
MEFFORD. They came to Mason Co from Washington Co, PA in 1785. MALINDA
MASTERS had a brother NATHAN MASTERS who lived in Ohio Co, VA - presently
Marshall Co, WV in the panhandle - and looks like LOT MASTERS who came
to Mason Co at the same time and was killed by Indians in 1790, was another
brother. There were also three sisters who married JOHN RIGGS, JEREMIAH
RIGGS and THOMAS McGINNIS. Unsure of sisters' first names. Mother of all
these described in estate records as, "MARY MILLS, formerly MARY MASTERS."
We haven't yet found a connection to RICHARD MASTERS and not sure where
he came from. Is he
connected to the family on this website? |
