Hay folks
My name is Jos Geurts, I am 44 years old and I live in a small town (Tegelen) in the south of Holland near the German border.
I am married for 18 years with Annemie. We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls in the age of 8, 14, 10 and 12 years. We own a small Pet-Shop (DE DIERENWINKEL)in our town wich I run halfday's in the afternoon.
My hobby's are, except my wife and children, keeping, breeding and selling of exotic animals such as Reptiles, Amphibians, Tarantula's and small mammels. Further, biking, swimming (Teaching in the Life Guard section), making music in a Fun Wind-Band (Wind-Barriton) called "Neet um aan te huure" (Translated, close your ears, we are coming!!!), and last but not least, computing, programming (my own databases and calculation sheets) and the internet, what take lots of my free time. Sometime I also give lektures on primary, elementary and secondary schools about exotic animals (reptiles and amphibians).
My own animals are: one twelve years old Python molurus bivittatus (400 cm) mail, one mail of 300 cm and one of 200 cm. 2 Japanese copperheads, mail and femail (Gloydi blomhoffie brevicauda). 1 femail sand-adder (Vipera ammodytes montadonii). 1 mail dwarf rattler (Sistrures milliarius barbourii). And three cats.
The two smaller mail pythons will be sold or replaced by a femail. Next yaer I will breed with the viper (she is still to young now). And when I find a nice femail Sistrures I shall also try to breed with them.
Sometimes when I have a nice couple of snakes or other reptiles in our shop, we will try to breed with them too. On the moment I have 5 hatchlings of the Lampropeltis getulus californiae (Ringed, striped and blotched).
We also have a mouse breeding station of a thousand pieces, and we breed dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbil's, guine pigs, rats, dego's and other small mammels.
My final frase is : Lets make it a better world for people and for the animals, and share the knowledge of common people all over the world!!!
