For nine years, the goal of Friends of Terriers has been to rescue and place American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers in the most loving and permanent homes, and to provide education about these misunderstood breeds. All dogs have been given the highest quality veterinary care and neutered, and have remained in loving foster homes until placed.

Due to changes in personal circumstances and restrictions on time, Friends of Terriers,
a one woman rescue, cannot accept dogs for placement until further notice. Breed education will continue, however, through this web site, which will continue to expand, and through the FOT newsletter, "Pit Stop", now published on an erratic basis.
