The First Birds Are From Our House:

African Grey Parrot This is "Poppie" an African Grey who was abused.  When I was asked if I wanted him I wasn't sure I could help him. He was a feather picker and a nasty, violent bird.  But we could give him a loving and caring "Home", so we gave it a chance.  After all, I fell in love with him the minute I set eyes on him.

This is "Poppie" just seven or eight months later.  My sonand I have been blessed with a very wonderful friend.  And my pride shows through ever time I show "Poppie" to my family and friends. He still has a long way to go to totally recover. I'll update his progress as he gets better. African Grey Parrot

This is what you can achieve with a little care and a whole- lot of love.  Poppie is now a big part of our family.

This is the first pair of birds I ever got.  Their names are Moon and Sunshine.  They are a great Mom and Dad, who have given us many baby Cockatiels Male & Fenmale Cockatiels

Male Cockatiel

This is E.T.  He was named by my Mom who when she first saw him said he looks like that alien in the movies, E.T. This was our first baby ever, from Moon and Sunshine.  He is part of the permanent family now.  What a sweetheart.(the picture was taken with a "Fish-Eye" len's on my Minolta X700)

This is Baby my son John's bird.  She's still very young but I'm pretty sure it's a she.  My son in nine year's old and takes total care of her by himself.

Two Lovebirds

And last but not lease in our home is, Sonny and Cher, our Dad and Mom Fisher Lovebirds.  They had us worried at first, they used to fight all the time.  But now that they finally have egg's for the first time, they have started to get along.   They are the most colorful of my birds.  I'm glad their feathers are growing back.

Now The Birds In The Rest Of My Family:

These are my God-Daughter Elizabeth,

and my Sister Ann's Friends.

White Bantam Chicken This is a Bantam Chicken{Silky}, who was "physically challenged from birth.  His name was "Tumbles".  He was just a truly wonderful pet.  They took him on a trip to Wash. D.C., which was so cool. Everybody just loved the "Chicken" my sister was carrying in a nap-sack.   This bird just truly loved to cuddle, I was very much amazed at how much.  He passed on in early September of a "genetic" problem he had from the start.   He left our lives very much enriched knowing him. God Bless Him.

And this messy little White Dove is Michael.  As in "Michaelangelo ".  He's a sweet-heart who loves to get petted and to be part of everything that's happening.  As you can see he does have a neatness problem, kind-of like "Oscar Madison".  These White-Doves are great pets as well as wonderful friends.
