Welcome to the Rare Sheep Breeds WebRing Home Page!

This WebRing is set up so that you can come visit many breeders of rare and/or endangered sheep breeds. You will find information that sometimes contradicts itself from site to site. I hope this will not bother you, as there are often differing opinions within breeds, not to mention between sheep breeds.

To be listed and to join this WebRing, there are three basic criteria.

For your convenience, I have placed the submission form on this page. Upon filling out this form, you will be placed in a "queue", which is a holding area. I will then go to work making sure your web site meets the criteria listed above.

While I am checking your site, you need to be getting the ring fragment in place. You can sit in the queue up to 4 weeks before being bumped out. I will notify you within 4 days should there be a problem with your site in reference to the ring criteria, and you have 4 weeks to get the ring fragment in place. Please notify me by e-mail when you have your fragment in place. That will speed the process along. Now you can relax and just watch your counter work away.

You will need to place a HTML fragment of code on your web page. I have placed a sample of what that fragment will look like below for your information. Upon submission of your site, copy the HTML fragment and insert it into your home page. When you are finished, it should look like this one, with your name in the "owned by" area and your e-mail address inserted. That section allows for e-mail to be sent to you personally from people visiting your site in the ring. You are welcome to enhance the ring by putting it into a table format as well. Many webring sites show their rings in table formats, and these are more attractive than the basic, blank rings. If you have questions, please feel free to e-mail me for additional details.
