My Anaconda's

My Anaconda's

When people hear the word "Anaconda," they probably think of the legendary man-eating snake. Much like the Piranha, they have been branded with this reputation; and like the Piranha, a movie has been made about them that further fuels the idea that they do indeed prey on Humans.

Anacondas in nature will avoid Humans at all costs, after all, the Anaconda has more reason to fear us, than we to fear the Anaconda. There have been many unconfirmed reports of Anacondas eating small children. However, I don't know if any are true at all. I have seen a picture of a captured and killed 17 foot Anaconda inside a truck bed that had supposedly eaten a 14 year old boy and still had the body in its belly. The Anaconda did have a very noticeable bulge in its belly, but this could have been anything from a Large Capibara to a Caimen. (When I find this picture again I will post it here for all to see).

Unlike Piranhas though, Anacondas are not shy animals, they can be extremely aggressive. They will never hesitate to attack their keepers. However, they can be tamed (eventually, and many, many bites) to become wonderful 'pet' Snakes. Infact, these Snakes seem to form a kind of 'special' bond with thier keepers, as mine have done with me (more on this later). Something I have not experienced with any other Snake, or Reptile for that matter.

I'll try and ad my Anaconda pictures as soon as I can.

Still under construction.
