My 12 yr. old Hilde had an ovarian infection that took her very quickly. I had not had her spade and that contributed to the possibility of this happening. Tough day at the OK Corral! Would like to get another, but with my work schedule a puppy is almos out of the question.

We own one of Carol Slattery's newest puppy's, Riti, sired by Cruise I'm told! We'll hopefully have a web page up soon for viewing (mostly our newborn daughter Emma, but some of Riti too). Riti is my fourth Elkhound, Milo, my second, got his CDX (and one leg of his UD before I gave up) and Kala is a rescue I got about 5 1/2 years ago. Riti will be my first pretty dog, he has been quite the darling, especially with our children. We hope our 9-yr. old daughter Nicky will get involved in j nior handling with Riti (Carol's Radne), but we have a pretty full schedule now so it's hard to find the place and time to fit it in. We will be entering him in the Milwaukee specialty in March. Cleo and Spunky are our two cats. Our children's names are Nicky (9-yr old daughter), Alex (6-yr son) and Emma (1-month daughter). Riti does look like his Dad!

The coments on elkhounds is right on. Our Katrina fits most of the observations. She is 14 years old so is obviously slowing down some. She is independent, single minded, and stubborn but still just a big furry love.

Hello, I used to have the sweetest most wonderful dog in the world. Her name was Honey and she was a Norwegian Elkhound. When she was 10yrs old she got a tumor and we had to put her down. We have missed her ever since and would like to get another elkh und. I found this site and see her in all the pictures. We are not a show home. Hi, I am a volunteer at the shelter here, and I was just surfing (I think that's what it called) and found your beautiful web site. Anyway, there is very cute girl named Elsa there, who is a Norwegian Elkhound (mix). I am taking a long shot, but do you ave any idea if rescue or if anyone is interested in a puppy-dog? Your up graded site looks great. This is my first experience with Elkhounds and it is wonderfull,except for one thing. He will not go near my wife. Unless she may have food or a treat for him. Any other time he will growl at her. Brodie is a 9 year that w s rescued from a shelter in Denver, just a year ago. But other wise he is perfect.
