We went to the OB/GYN to have an ultrasound on the baby. We were so excited because we were going to learn what sex the baby was. When the tech began the ultrasound, we new something was wrong. The Baby wasn't moving like it had been in the previous ultrasound. The Doctor then entered and we were informed that our baby was no longer alive. We were heart broken. Our world was torn apart. But that,s not the reason he got his name.
May 31, 1997
We went to the hospital to deliver him. Emily's sweetmomma and sweetdaddy had come up to take care of her while we were gone. Labor was induced that morning. Tracie and I had sat in her room and shared our questions with each other about why a loving God would do such a thing to us. We prayed cried and just sat waiting for this to be over. But that's not the reason he got his name.
Around 4:30 May 31, 1997
I am called out to the nurses desk. As I round the corner I see Sweetdaddy (my Daddy) standing there. He looks at me with a strange look. That's when he tells me that our other baby, Emily Shae is in the emergency room. I take off running only to fing the Doctors working frantically over her.
Tracie delivered Faith in the morning of June 1, 1997. Emily was called HOME to Heaven on June 2, 1997.
God will never allow us to bear anything we can't handle. Our world was ripped apart that weekend, But we know that God is our strength.
I'll be the first to say, it hurts. Sometimes we don't know how to even face the day. BUT we have FAITH in the promise of Christ Jesus that a place has been prepared for us in Heaven, and one day we will hold our children agian.
