Everyone is now eligible to receive rebates that average $120 this year. We got ours in the first half of August. They are all due out by sometime in September. I know I'm thrilled with mine (not).

For more Rebate information visit the NJ SAVER page.

Our taxes increased $1000 and it must be paid between 2 quarters due immediately and in November. Adjustments to tax bills for the current year are due in the 3rd and 4th quarters of that year! Think about this...in our case if we were on escrow, next year our monthly tax portion would increase $166.66! ($1000 short the last 2 quarters of 1999 + a $1000 increase for all of next year divided by 12 months)

What is going on? There was no reassessment! It's "just" an increase. A 50% increase on these 2 payments and a 25% increase if spread over 4 quarters. (In our case we have some new expenses related to schools, but this isn't a fair way of requiring tax payments)
