KC

There is no poem for KC, and yet I doubt he'd mind. In truth he never even had a real name. The only kitten of a stray, he was known only as Kitten Cat until it became KC on the papers from the vet. In the year he lived apart from me, hubby (then fiancee) tacked on his last name, and KC Jones he became in his 2nd year. KC was one of those exceptional cats, a big ball of furry purry, unobtrusive most of the time, but always there when you needed a warm softie to pet. We always said of our three cats, Bumper was mine, Galaxy was hubby's and KC was ours. KC lived that role well, friendly to all who visited, the big boy especially liked a scritch from the younger visitors. This last year he became a champion mouser, neatly depositing his catch out of the way.

And so, KC, know that I wrought a fitting revenge among the coyote population in honor of you and your brother Bumper. We miss you and your voluminous purr. Be well FatBoy.
