10/16/97 For those of you who have moved from the East Hampton area- Mr Di's Restaurant (Old Thatcher's Bldg. at Rt.66 & Main St.) has burnt down. Oct 1, The East Hampton Fire Dept. was on scene with assistance from area fire departments for most of the day to extinguish the fire. This is truly a great loss for the town. 10/26/97 Sorry for the hiatus. As most of you know I do all of my web page editing while at work. I have been extremely busy lately but will get back to the news very soon. Sorry.... By the way, last I heard, the fire at Mr Di's is beleived to have been started by wiring in the ceiling above the kitchen area. Has anyone heard any other news?
