Silent Witness by Richard North Patterson--I loved this book. I would have to make myself quit reading and put it down to get things done around the house. It's about a man who became a lawyer and tells about his teenage years and the murder of his girlfriend and the factors that decided his fate as a lawyer. Really, really good!!
Paradise by Toni Morrison--Real deep and hard to understand & follow. Oprah bookclub pick.
The Ghost by Danielle Steel--Her books are always great to me. A good read.
Murder in Retrospect by Agatha Christie--I collect her books and have almost all of them in paperback. This one I ran across at the E-Bay auction & bid on it for $1.25. I love all her books.
Special Delivery by Danielle Steel--This book was so good. It was heart warming and funny. I kept it in the car and read it while waiting for Donielle to get out of school. I laughed so hard at parts, I had tears running down my cheeks. It's a fast read too.
Up Island by Anne Siddons--Was good. Different from what I normally read. A woman leaves her husband and ends up on an island caring for others where she finds herself.

BitterSweet by Danielle Steele--I loved this book. It is about a marriage of 18 years that suddenly ends and she finds love again.
My Gal Sunday by Mary Higgins Clark--I really didn't care for this book. It had 3 or 4 stories instead of one long book. I just don't care for this type of reading.
When The Wind Blows by James Patterson--This is the second reading of this book so I must like it. It is about a group of Doctors who experiment on children with a slight love story thrown in.
Harry Potter--The first one--Got them for Donielle for Christmas and she is not interested in reading them so I thought I would. I liked the book.
Irrestable Forces by Danielle Steele--I LOVED this book. I guess its the romantic in me.
Harry Potter--The second one--The Chamber of Secrets--This was was good too. I hope Donielle will read these.
Jewel by Bret Lott--This was an Oprah pick. This is a book about family and the love for your child when they are not "perfect". This is a book I would read again.
The Killing Game by Iris Johansen--A suspenseful read concerning the murder of a child and the serial killer who stalks the mother.
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery--This book was mailed to me by my best friend--This is a lovely story that shows what is really important in life.
The Wedding by Danielle Steel--What can I say? I love her books and this was a great love story with close family ties.
A Map of the World by Jane Hamilton--This was an Oprah pick. It is about a child that drowns in the care of the main character who then is accused of child sexual abuse and her memories of that time. A good read.
Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz--An Oprah Book Club pick.I really enjoyed this read. It is about 2 sisters and the ties that bind them together and the forces that pull them apart, the dangers of keeping secrets and the repercussions when they are exposed.
Fall Down Laughing by David Lander--"Squiggy" from "Laverne & Shirley" tells about his life and his struggle with MS.

Wish You Well by David Baldacci--A heart-warming book that takes place in the mountains of Virginia where a sister and brother put their faith in a "magic" well to heal their family.
Between Husbands & Friends by Nancy Thayer--I liked this book alot. It is about remaining faithful all your life, your secret desires and who you should be most loyal to--your husband or your best friend
Lost & Found by Jayne Ann Krentz--This is a romantic suspense with a small amount of sizzling sex throwed in. I didn't care for it that much but others probably would.
From The Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz--If anyone has read Dean Koontz, you know how his books are. It held my interest but not one of his "best" writes.
Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah--I expected more from this book than what I got from it. Maybe I'm just too old. Liam's wife lies in a coma and only responds to her first husband's name whom they summon to help her recover if at all possible.
Before I Say Good-Bye by Mary Higgins Clark--This was pretty good. Nell & Adam are married when his boat accidently blows up in NY harbor with some of his business associates aboard. Everyone is killed or are they? Nell searches for the truth--was it an accident or foul play?
Standoff by Sandra Brown--This book kept me interested in the suspense with a bit of romance throwed in. A young boy and his pregnant girlfriend hold up a store and ends up taking hostages.
Open House by Elizabeth Berg--This was an Oprah Book Club pick. I liked this book. After yrs of marriage, Samantha's husband leaves her and her 11 yr old son. She recreates her life after divorce by opening up her house to boarders and finds the person she used to be and has a look inside her heart.
Leap of Faith by Danielle Steel--Well if you have read my previous opinions you will know I simpley loved this book. Marie-Ange loses her family in a tragic accident in France when she was 11 yrs old and is sent to Utah to live with her Aunt Carole. After her 21st birthday, startling news permits her to return to France and her childhood home. She meets and falls in love with the new owner and thinks her life is magical until she learns of the shocking story of her husband's previous life and marriage which he had lied about to her. She finds the faith and courage to take one last step to save her life and that of her children.
After the Fire by Belva Plain--I liked this book. It is provocative & heart-breaking. A marriage is shattered, a family is in crisis & blackmail evolves. It's ending surprised me. I'm sure this story has been lived out in parts by other women.
Good In Bed by Jennifer Weiner--A funny and surprisingly tender story of a full figured heroine, her romantic entanglements, dysfunctional family dilemmas and her battles with her ex-boyfriend. This is the first book for this author. It was pretty good. A bit unrealistic in places but it made me laugh in parts.
False Memory by Dean Koontz--This was a many page book but of course, I loved it as I do his books. A Dr. hypnotizes his patients & then uses them to commit grueling crimes.
The Face Of Deception by Iris Johansen--I liked this book better than the first one I read she authored. The President of the US is murdered & is replaced by a look a like with the Presidents wife going along with the whole scheme.
The Reader by Bernhard Schlink--An Oprah Book Club Read. A young boy falls ill on his way home from school & is helped by an older woman who later becomes his lover. One day she disappears & he enters law school where he attends a trial in Germany & sees his former lover on trial for crimes she doesn't deny.
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks--A truly wonderful love story. I was in tears the last few pages.
Mercy by Julie Garwood--This book has a bit of everything. Family,career,love,sex,suspense,humor. An attorney falls ill at a convention & is rushed for emergency surgery where he falls for the surgeon. The surgeon & her family come into wealth by a cousin who is murdered but the husband of the dead cousin has other ideas. I really liked this book. It kept me interested with each page.
Envy by Sandra Brown--This was the first book I have read of this author & I have already went out & bought another one. This book is about a long ago crime & the victim's plan for revenge. A very suspenseful read.
Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson--A love story by James Patterson. I like his suspense books so I had to read this one. It is a fast read & very heart warming.
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle--Donielle had to read this for a class & I reread it to be able to quiz her on it. I enjoyed it again after 25+ years.
On The Street Where You Live by Mary Higgins Clark--A good mystery read. An attorney buys an old house & a skeleton is dug up in her yard of a woman who vanished several yrs ago BUT she is holding the finger bone of a woman who disappeared around 1892. How are they connected?
The Kiss by Danielle Steel--This was so good. A true love story that shows you the power of love. A single shattering moment changes lives forever.
Disobedience by Jane Hamilton--An ok book. Took me a long time to read it so that tells you something. A 17 yr old gets into his mother's computer & finds email from a man. He follows the progress of the relationship & keeps a record of the corespondance.
The House on Hope Street by Danielle Steel--Great book!! I read it in 2 sittings. Quote from the book flap expresses everything "Learning to live after you think life is over,getting up after being knocked down again & again,cherishing small miracles & believing in big ones. It is above all about hope."
Above and Beyond by Sandra Brown--A love story about a man who reads his friend's letters from his wife after he was killed. He falls in love with her & sets out to win her heart without her knowledge of him knowing her dead husband.
Unnatural Exposure by Patricia Cornwell--A good read. A deadly virus is being released & causing murders. Dr Kay Scarpetta investigates the cases & gets sick herself.
The Cottage by Danielle Steel--An excellent way to start the new year out right. As always, this book was so good. It's about 3 men & their different way of life finding friendship & a second chance at life.
House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III--I liked this book. It was different from what I normally read. It kept me interested yet I had feelings for both the Colonel & his family and the former owner of the house. It truely paints a picture of the country we live in today.
1st To Die by James Patterson--This book was made into a movie starring Tracey Polland & was quiet good. Four women friends decide to stop a killer who has been stalking newlyweds & form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box. Working together, they track down the unexpected killer.
2nd Chance by James Patterson--The Women's Murder Club gets together again to partner up with each other to solve killings that involve murders happening in the police profession. This book was suspenseful & kept me interested.
Sunset In St. Tropez by Danielle Steel--Another great one!!!This is about three couples who have been friends for years & take a month's holiday in St Tropez where everything changes for all of them.
By The Light Of The Moon by Dean Koontz--Another thrill read. This had some exciting parts. His books are so unbelievable they could be believable. Go figure. I liked it though.
Awaken The Diet Within by Julia Griggs Havey--Her personal struggle plus her weight loss secrets to lose weight and keep it off.
Her Father's House by Belva Plain--I really enjoyed this book. It held my interest and the story line was good. A father kidnaps his daughter when she is two & live their life hiding having her believe her Mother is dead. The truth comes out when she is about to enter medical school. Does she forgive her Father or go live with the Mother she thought was dead?
Midnight Voices by John Saul--It's been a long time since I read one of his books. His writing style hasn't changed. A bit unrealistic but I still enjoyed the book. Caroline Evans has her son & daughter to raise in NYC after the death of her husband. She remarries & moves into "The Rockwell" where the children claim to hear voices at night. Is her new life charmed or cursed? This is a spine-tingling read.
Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks--I liked this book. It's a love story between two older people who least expect it.
The King of Torts by John Grisham--Not one of his best. I didn't care for it that much.
East of Eden by John Steinbeck--An Oprah new book club pick. I would never have read this book if it wasn't for Oprah. It was very, very good. I joined her book club & read along each week with her & reviewed the summaries on line. Very helpful in understanding some parts.
Revenge of the Middle-Age Woman by Elizabeth Buchan--I bought this book because of the title. It was okay. I could see how this happens in marriages.
Not Guilty by Patricia MacDonald--I liked this book. It's about a woman whose son is a suspect in his Father's death & his Step-father's death. She doesn't believe her son is a killer & vows to clear his name.
One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz--It took me forever to get thru this book. It was interesting in an odd sort of way. Not on my favorite list.
Safe Harbor by Danielle Steel--Another great way to start out the new year. A woman & her daughter lose their husband (Dad) & son (brother) in a plane crash. The story revolves around their stay at a beach house & the man they meet. A friendship grows into love while a long time woman friendship disvolves. A truly great read.
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold--This book is set in heaven. A strange read about a 14 yr old who was murdered & watches her family from heaven go on without her on earth.
The Second Time Around by Mary Higgins Clark--A good suspenseful read about a husband's disappearance, missing money ,a medical scam & of course all the people involved. Who is behind it all?
Murder On The Yukon Trail by Sue Henry--This book was given to me as a gift otherwise, I would never have read it. Unless you are interested in dog sledding, I would pass this one up.
Someone To Watch Over Me by Judith McNaught--I really enjoyed this book. It's a love story & a murder mystery.
The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks--A love story & a mystery. Julie's husband dies & leaves her a puppy she names Singer. His promise to her was that he would always watch over her. Two men enter her life & she is drawn to both but Singer really takes to one of the men. A good read I throughly enjoyed.
The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks--I cried at least three times while reading this book. It's a truly great romance story about lost love, rediscovered love and renewed love.
The Summons by John Grisham--I just loved this read. I read it pretty fast as I was so interested in the story and who was behind the stalking of Ray. His Dad dies after summoning him home. Upon his arrival, he finds his Dad already dead & millions in cash money stashed in boxes. He keeps quiet about the money but someone else knows and his life is in danger.
The Lake House by James Patterson--This is a sequence to the book "When The Wind Blows" about the children who can fly. It is a book that James Patterson sure shows his imagination.
Johnny Angel by Danielle Steel--A quick read. Read it over the weekend. She repeated herself on the different pages which irritated me some. It was a good story & I think she wrote it after her son's death which could explain the repeating over & over.
Lone Eagle by Danielle Steel--This was a great love story. Starting when they were young a bond was developed that grew stronger thru the years ending in marriage even though they were apart most of the time. Beautifully written.
Answered Prayers by Danielle Steel I must be on a Danielle Steel read run. I think I love her books so & have gotten behind in my reading, I read her books fast so that is why so many of her books in a row. This book was another good one. Faith is married to Alex with two grown children. She weants to go back to school as she is bored at home now. Alex disapproves. Faith goes out of town & returns early to find women's clothing in her bed. She turns to her childhood friend for comfort & support. This is a story of growth, courage & love between familiy & friends.
Dating Game by Danielle Steel--This is her 57th book!!!! Paris has been married for 24 years when her husband tells her he wants a divorce. Within days, he is gone & Paris has to deal with being alone & single. She makes some surprising discoveries & her life heads in a whole new direction.
The Beach House by James Patterson--This is a legal thriller of deceit and revenge. It was interesting and a fast read.
The Last Juror by John Grisham--I love his books and this one was no exception. It takes place in the early 70's. A woman is raped & murdered and before she dies she names the murderer. He is tried and found guilty but he swears revenge against the jurors if they convict him.
Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks--This is a tear jerker. I've had the book for awhile but just never got around to reading it. It was made into a movie but I haven't saw the movie but I will be renting it at the video store for sure now. A very good love story which makes you think hard about your choices in life and love.
Safe Harbor by Luanne Rice--Her sister's death puts Dana in charge of her 2 nieces & moves her from France back home to Connecticut where she has to deal with becoming a parent & renewing a past friendship with a younger man. This is a story about friendship, family and a woman finding herself.
Nighttime Is My Time by Mary Higgins Clark--A good mystery read. A 20 year class reunion reunites class honorees who are dying in order of a class photo.
Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson--A fast read & a heart warming story of a grandmother's love for her granddaughter and vice versa.
The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown--An intense book about a hunt for a breathtaking historical secret. It is a book with remarkable research & detail.
2005
Ransom by Danielle Steel--This sure was a different read from her other books but still a good one. I finished it within a week. A violet crime brings four lives together but love wins in the end.
Second Chance by Danielle Steel --Another good love story. Two very different people, meet, fall in love, marry and divorce. They are given a Second Chance and they survive.
Echoes by Danielle Steel--This book takes place during the war and the capturing and killing of the Jews. It is a compelling story of love and family, acts of faith and the courage of the women portrayed.
Suspicious Origin by Patricia MacDonald--Pretty good read. A woman goes to her sister's funeral and finds mysteries in her death and investigates. She believes her brother in law is behind it and sets out to prove him guilty.
London Bridgesby James Patterson--An Alex Cross novel who brings back the weasel and the wolf. I haven't read the preceding book yet but this was still interesting.
The Search by Iris Johansen--This is a story about a woman & her dog trained to search for the missing whether dead or alive. As she hunts the man, she becomes the object of his wrath. An exciting read.
Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz--A short order cook in a small town has a gift or a curse, which ever way you want to look at it. He sees hyena-like shades following people who are already dead or will die. One mysterious stranger comes to town & Odd fears the worst for the town. A different kind of read but still it kept me interested.
ImPossible by Danielle Steel--Loved this book!!! Excellent love story with character being an older woman and a younger man.
Words of Silkby Sandra Brown--This book is a steamy & sexy love story and the struggle of doubt and desire, caution and hope.
Roses Are Red by James Patterson--A really good read. Kept me on the edge of my seat. An Alex Cross read.
Violets Are Blue by James Patterson--A follow up to the above. It was good too.
The Broker by John Grisham--I was so interested in this book. It was hard to put down. I kept wanting to know how it was going to end. Another great book by him.
The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks--A romantic read. Of course, you know how it will end or hope it ends and I wasn't disappointed.
No Place Like Home by Mary Higgins Clark--A suspense read but I had it figured out toward the end of the book.
Tell No One by Harlan Coben--I loved this book. First time I have read one of his. It is suspenseful, plot twists, and a thriller of runaway tension.
Gone for Good by Harlan Coben--Another suspense thriller. Numerous clues but I never figured out how the book was going to end. It's a clincher ending.
No Second Chance by Harlan Coben--Wow, I'm loving his books.
Just One Look by Harlan Coben--A snapshot inserted into a group of family pictures picked up at the PhotoMart causes Grace Lawson's world to unravel in an instant.
The Mulberry Tree by Jude Deveraux--I didn't care for this book that much. Too many names and characters to keep up with. Unrealistic story even though she was trying to make it seem real. I think she failed.
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks--A very quick read. Donielle & I had saw the movie a few years ago. A truly heartwarming story of growing up and first love.
A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks--Wonderful read as always.
The Taking by Dean Koontz--Way too unrealistic. I didn't care for this book but I read it through.
Toxic Bachelors by Danielle Steel--A love story about three older bachelors who found love. I loved it as usual!!
Blowfly by Patricia Cornwell---If you like her books, you would like this. I haven't followed her series so I was a bit lost.
Pop Goes The Weasel by James Patterson--- This was better than I expected it to be. It kept me interested and I read it fast. Another Alex Cross one.
Honeymoon by James Patterson---Very good!! I loved it and the suspense was great.
Private Eyes by Jonathan Kellerman---This is the first book I have read of his. It was good and I was fooled until the last few chapters of the who done it.
Silent Partner by Jonathan Kellerman--This was the hardest book for me to get thru and finish. It seemed like I was never going to get done with it. It was a tangled web of characters and I didn't really understand the concept of the story.

MaryMary by James Patterson--A murder mystery with Alex Cross as the detective. The calling card is emails, alphabet letters A A & B before and after the murders. I enjoyed this book.
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova--I like to never have got throught this book. It is about the legand of Dracula. Not my normal read.
The Crush by Sandra Brown--Loved it!! A fast read.
Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz--A really good twist at the end that I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed the book and we chose it as a book club read for discussion.
In the Dark of the Night by John Saul--He writes the most bizare books but I still like them. It was thrilling and a page turner wanting to know what would happen next.
3rd Degree by James Patterson--Women's Murder Club read. It was okay.
What To Say When You Talk To Yourself by Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D.--A self help book that I am putting into practice. It has great things for success on different things. You just have to follow thru on them to make them work. Just like anything else.

5th Horseman by James Patterson--Women's Murder Club read. Read in 3 days. Kept me interested.
Beach Road by James Patterson--Wow, I never suspected the ending. A good murder and trial story.

Chill Factor by Sandra Brown--Oh, I loved this one better than White Hot. I really couldn't put it down.
Blind Alley by Iris Johansen --This was an odd read. It was okay but sort of bizare.
Countdown by Iris Johansen--A follow up to the previous book. Still don't care for the storyline.
Two Little Girls In Blue by Mary Higgins Clark--Loved this book. Read it in 3 days! Kept me interested.
Forever Odd by Dean Koontz--Wierd but I still liked it. Just a typical Dean Kootz book.
Cross by James Patterson--A really good read about Alex pursuing his wife's killer.
The Innocent Man by John Grishom--This was based on a true story. Very interesting and makes you wonder about our judicial system even now.
Judge and Jury by James Patterson--I read this fast because it was so good and I wanted to know what was going to happen!!
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks--Loved it. Got teary eyed. Romance at its best!
Failure to Appear by J.A. Jance--Someone gave me this book. I would never have bought it. It was an okay read. Mystery, revenge, deception and murder.
Self-Defense by Jonathan Kellerman--Another gift book. It was fairly good. I got a bit confused trying to keep the characters straight. There was a twist at the end that I wasn't expecting but I enjoyed the book as a whole.
Ricochet by Sandra Brown--I loved this book!!! It is suspenseful, a little bit of sex and it keeps you on your toes about what will happen next.
Lying With Strangers by James Grippando--A gift book but a fairly good read. Suspense with a twist ending I didn't have figured out.
The Christmas Train by David Baldacci--Another gift book. A love story aboard a train with holiday magic. Surprised at the ending but it was good.
Bad Love by Jonathan Kellerman--A lot of characters to keep up with. It was a weird read. Not really my cup of tea but another book given to me so I read it.
On the Run by Iris Johansen--Boy, I read this book really fast. Interesting, exciting and kept me totally interested.
For One More Day by Mitch Albom--Oprah had him on her show and also sponsored the movie. It makes you think of your life and how you miss out on so much when you don't know that you are.
The Promise by Harlan Coben--I loved this book. Couldn't put it down and it had a surprise ending. Something I never saw coming.
Killer Dreams by Iris Johansen--It was a good read but took me a long time to read it. It had some of the same characters as some of her previous books and it had been a while since I had read them so I had to rack my memory to identify them.
The Witness by Sandra Brown-Loved it. Suspense, romance, friendships, family--it had it all.
Limitations by Scott Turow ---This was a bit hard for me to follow. I'm not up on legal jargon & I got lost a few times.
Playing For Pizza by John Grisham--This sure wasn't like his other books and I really didn't care for it. It was about a football player that got sent overseas to play.

Fall on your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald-An Oprah book club suggestion from a long time ago. Interesting novel.
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski- Another Oprah book club book. Loved the story. Cried in places, laughed out loud in places.

Fat Tuesday by Sandra Brown-At first hard to get the characters straight in my mind, but as I got more into the book it was a great read of love, sex and mystery.
You've Been Warned by James Patterson-Well this was sure a wierd read. I didn't particularly like it but I finished it. Strangely odd.
Quicksand by Iris Johansen -It was an okay read. She is still looking for her daughter's remains and this trail was another dead end.

Honor Thyself by Danielle Steel-A writer goes to Paris to work on her book and the tunnel is bombed. She finds love again with her former lover. A very good book.
