<h3>Our family and pets

As I said before, I have multiple sclerosis but I have not let it get the best of me yet. I did have to give up my job in May 1997 which was really very hard to do. I was a Vice President at our bank in charge of Branch and Teller Operations where I had been for 25 years.
My husband Don and I have been married for 30 years. We met on a blind date and dated for 2 years before getting married. He has stood by me steadly through all of our ups and downs. My MS has made it difficult for him also. He is interested in sports (of all kinds) and NASCAR racing.

He works for himself in telecommunications with a partner. He was in this business for 19 years & started out on his own in May 2002.

I have a wonderful caring husband who works hard and is a great Father to our daughter, Donielle. I am truly blessed..

Donielle is now 21 years old. She moved out when she graduated in 2005 and went to FL with her boyfriend for a year. They have since parted ways (I hope) and she has moved back home. She is going through a very hard time in her life and we have sought medical help for her and she is on strong depression medicine. I pray she comes out of this soon and works through it all. (05/07) Donielle has moved back out or rather we asked her to leave. She doesn't want to be responsible for her life so we had to show tough love and hope that she gets her head on straight. She has been gone for 5 weeks now. Please pray for her and our family. (08/07)

We have 3 dogs and 2 cats.Chelsey is our outside dog and is 8 years old . She is a beautiful red color like an Irish Settler but her parents were a Rockweiler and Retreiver. Our cat is Cindi and rules the house. We got her at an animal shelter 15 years ago. She is almost as spoiled as Donielle!!!

Updated November 5, 1997

We had to put Shep(our German Shephard) to sleep November 1, 1997. It was such a sad day. We were all in tears. He had gotten worse and was rubbing places on his hind legs where he was dragging himself. He was also having trouble getting to the woods for the bathroom. It sure was a difficult decision to have to make and we miss him so much. We buried him out back in the woods. Shep will always be a part of the family.

We added "Cricket" to our family March 22, 2000. He is a black & silver minature schnauzer born on February 5, 2000. We named him for his hopping & jumping up & down. We are in love with him already, even Don shows him some attention.

"Cricket" got up on the highway and got run over but his body disappeared. We wrote a letter to the Chronicle about it and someone gave us their minature schnauzer named "Gidget". She is a sweetheart. We bought another puppy and named him "Clover" in August 2000. He is also a minature schnauzer.

"Hydro" joined our family in 2003. He was gven to Donielle by the lady that kept her when she was a baby. He is a striped gray cat & spoiled rotten already.

When Donielle moved back home she brought her pit bull, Stella, with her. In August of 2006, she gave birth to 8 puppies. Two died, and we sold all but two. Now 9 months later, we still have Chopper & Sebastian. Don is totally against this--says we have way too many dogs--and as they are still puppies, they chew up everything and I mean everything even though we keep them supplied in chew bones and toys. I just don't think I could get rid of them now and try to ignore Don when he starts on his rampage. Haha (05/07) We still have Sebastian and Chopper. They turned 1 year old on Aug 7th. Don says we have way to many animals but I truly love them all. They are the sweetest pit bulls even though they get so many bad reviews in general. (08/07)

Our sweet schnauzer, Gidget, was put to sleep on Sept 8. 2008. She had been declining since April with kidney failure and we just couldn't see her suffer anymore. We have her buried on the property and I have fixed her a personal tombstone. It is so strange with her not being by our side, protecting her treat or wanting to go with us everytime the dorr was opened. There will never be another like her.(12/08)

This is our family. Come on back and visit us often.
