Some of my friends may
remember me feeding baby
parrots during the summer
months. At this age they
required feedings every
3-4 hours.
These were the babies
eyes still closed!
Roughly 6 days old.
Now at about 3 weeks.
The rest of their day is spent in an
incubator, where they can be held in a
constant temperature and degree of humidity.
Inside the incubator they have their feed
and water dishes as well as their toys to
stimulate them. Also, a den for them to
sleep in until they want to perch for the
night. The incubator is made of glass, so
we watch them during the evenings,
and them us!
This is how they were fed.
The babies at about
4 months of age.
One month away from
being able to go to
their new families!
