My Husband of 37 Years

My love I miss you.

DAYDREAMS by Stephen Wright

Once a day and sometimes more
You knock upon my daydream's door
And I say warmly come right in
I'm glad you're here with me again.

Then we sit down and have a chat
Recalling this, discussing that
Until some task that I must do
Forces me away from you.

Reluctantly I say good-bye
Smiling with a little sigh
For though my daydreams bring you near
I wish that you were really here.
But what reality cannot change
My dreams and wishes can arrange
And through my wishing you'll be brought
To me each day: A happy thought

My husband died on August 17, 1999 while recovering from his second hip replacement. We were married for 37 years, he was only 57 years old.

Growing up in Jones Creek, He attended Chesapeake Terrace Elementary and Sparrows Point high school. That is where he meet his high school sweetheart, Sharon. He married her, then moved to Dundalk to start his family , until 5 years ago when he moved to Fort Howard. Henry and Sharon were married for 37 years. He was a teamster member, and also drove independently for a few years, but more recently was employed by United Rental. On the road he was known as "Buttercup." Among his many interests were crabbing, football, Nascar Races, with a passion for Jeff Gordon, and Playing pool with his Friend Ed. But most of all he loved to spend his free time with family and friends. "Hank" as he was known to many was a wonderful man, gentle and kind would do anything for you, loved his family, deeply, got the most out of life, challenged the world...not always won, but was a true individual, devoted husband, father, friend and leader, strong, powerful, and capable of almost anything. He was a pillar of strength in our family...and to many others! We will never forget the love and kindness he bestowed upon us all! We all were lucky to have known this man...Henry. He was predeceased by his Parents Henry and Mabel, and his brother Leroy. A Memorial Service was held in his honor on Sunday August 22, 1999.
God Rest his Soul! Forever in Peace!
