My name is Clayton John Benner, born in Ketchikan, AK, 8/29/1929; married first time in 1950, I have four children: a daughter Cara Leigh (Benner) Nygard, a son Clayton Richard Benner a son Gerald Arthur Benner, and a daughter Julaine Irene (Benner) VanBuskirk. [and total of nine living grandchildren and one great-grandson]. Divorced in 1961 and remarried (no children) in 1972.
My father was Claude Clayton Benner, born Bellingham, Watcom Co.,WA, 5/21/1904; Married 12/4/1928 and died 5/19/1993 in Oympia, Thurston Co., WA. He had two Children: Me and my brother, Gerald Claude Benner (he has two daughters).
His father (my grandfather) was Clayton George Benner, born in WI, 4/19/1881, Married 6/17/1903 and died 7/3/1953 in Bellingham, Watcom Co., WA. He had 4 children: My father, a son named Roy (w/one son, Clayton Eugene), a son named Ralph, and a daughter named Hazel.
His father (my great grandfather) was Winfield Benjamin Benner, born 2/1/4/1854 in ME state. Married before 4/19/1881, died 4/3/1926 in Ancortes, WA. He had four children: my father; a brother, Burt; and two sisters, Risa and Syllvia.
