Claire and Murphy met in person for the first time during late September 2001 after corresponding via e-mail for a couple of months. They were third cousins in law once removed and were both involved in genealogy research of the family. During Murphy's visit, Claire cooked up some of her famous gumbo. She posed for this photo in her computer corner in the living room of her home.
