Murphy's Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

This is the excellent spaghetti sauce that Murphy makes on special occasions. (In fact, it is the only thing that Murphy knows how to cook.)

Clara (pictured at right), would serve spaghetti or macaroni covered with this delicious sauce at many Sunday dinners.

Here is the recipe as given to Murphy on April 19, 1981.

1. Brown the following together on a medium stove:

2. Strain away grease. Remove the optional italian sausage or chicken pieces and set them aside for later.

3. Stir in for 5 minutes:

4. Bring to boil at medium stove.

5. Add back in italian sausage or chicken. (Murphy usually adds in sliced pepperoni.)

6. Cook at least 4 hours at a very low stove with lid on. A crock pot can be used if you wish.

7. Stir occasionally.

Triple the recipe to have enough to feed 8 people.
