• John Allen, was born between 1787 and 1789, in NC (or VA), and died before 1880 in Clay Co., Ky. He married Nancy (surname unknown) around 1820. Nancy was born in Virginia about 1801 and died after 1880 in Kentucky.
  

  From the information we have gathered, John and Nancy came to Estill County, Kentucky sometime in the 1820's. John is lited in the 1830 Estill County Census. However, I have not been able to locate him listed in the 1840 census.
  
  We located John and Nancy in 1850 listed on the Clay Co., Kentucky census. It showes John's as being from NC, and Nancy from VA. John and Nancy Allen are also listed on the Clay Co. Census in 1860, and 1870.

• Son Allen was born between 1820-1824, died between 1847-1850. He married Catherine (unknown). Catherine was born about 1824.
  

1. Lavicy (Vica) Allen, b. Abt 1845, in Clay Co., Ky. married 4-7-1861 Jerry Hollingsworth, s/o Perry & Martha Hollansworth.
   
2. Arena Allen, b. Abt. 1847, in Clay Co., Ky. married 12-15-1869 Jason (James) Collins.

• Joseph Allen was born 1826-1829, in Estill Co., Ky. He died Aft. 1860. He was married in Clay Co., Ky. 01-06-1851, to Rhoda Hubbard.
  Rhoda was born 1830, died between 1800-1910.

  Claiborn Reid was born about 1830.
